ISO 9001:2000 creates the basis for systematic procedures and plannable quality by means of the quality management system within the company. With the introduction of ISO 9001:2000, it was possible to achieve a more practical orientation, stronger customer focus and also improved opportunities for implementation in different sectors of industry through increased emphasis on the process approach. ISO 90003 is concerned with the particular requirements of ISO 9001:2000 in relation to software manufacture.
