Actual physical security is an important prerequisite for operation of an IT system which is proof against failure. Objective identification and appropriate correction of security risks relating to IT infrastructure, e.g. of a computer center, are of vital importance for any IT operator. The Trusted Site Infrastructure (TSI) list of criteria is based on recognised standards and evaluation criteria of different organisations such as the recommendations of the IT-Grundschutz of the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) the relevant EN and DIN standards, VDE regulations and also VdS publications. The list also makes it possible to assess the availability of an existing IT infrastructure and to evaluate planning documents.
