Collection and processing of personal data

Normally you can visit TÜViT`s pages without our needing any personal data from you. Personal data is only collected if you give it to us, for example, in connection with registration, a survey or the implementation of a contract. When you visit our pages we store

• the identity of your Internet service provider,
• the website from which you have come to us,
• the pages you visit when you visit us and
• the date and duration of your visit.

In addition personal data is only stored if you give it to us voluntarily.

Use and passing on of personal data and limitation of its use

All data relating to an individual which arises in the context of TÜViT Internet direct services will be collected, processed and used in accordance with the relevant regulations governing the protection of personal data, and this only for the purpose of contract handling and of preservation of our own business interests with respect to providing our customers and interested parties with advice and assistance.

Right to information and public directory of procedures

On request we will inform you in writing in accordance with applicable law whether and what personal data we have stored with respect to you. In our public directory of procedures we have compiled the information in accordance with § 4e BDSG (German Federal Data Protection Act).

Email / contact forms

If you send us an email or a message by contact form, we will only store and use your personal data in order to provide the services offered and for correspondence with you. We must point out that, if you send us data relating to you in an unprotected email, it may be noted or even falsified by unauthorised persons.

Our web pages contain links to websites of other providers not covered by this Data Protection Declaration. If we supply links to other locations, we endeavour to ensure that such locations are in accordance with our values. We have no influence on their content, however, nor on whether the respective operator complies with the data protection regulations. If you visit another website, make sure you obtain information on the provisions and guidelines applying there.

We apply technical and organisational security measures to protect your data handled by us from accidental or wilful manipulation, loss and destruction or to safeguard it against intervention by unauthorised persons. Our security measures are being continuously improved.
